During this year's Labor day weekend, we went West to visit an architectural beauty and a city of steel...
1) Falling Water is a masterpiece of a house, built over a waterfall...The fact that it was built in the early 1930's, makes it even more fantastic.. Ever since I was a young boy, I was fascinated by paintings and architecture... So this weekend was a dream come true for me... To be honest , I wouldn't have built it over the waterfall...because now, you don't see the fall...you only hear it... but who am I...
A few pics form the outside, because it was forbidden to take pictures inside :-(...
2) Our next trip (the next day) took us to the city of steel - Pittsburgh (Home of the Steelers (NFL) - the 2009 Superbowl champions); The reason why this city is called this way, is due to the many steel bridges that cross the 03 rivers (the Allegheny, the Monongahela and the result of those two: the Ohio-river); We had a nice scenic overlook over the city from Washington Mountain:
After that climb we had lunch at yet another famous Pittsburgh hot-spot: Primanti Brothers;
Before driving home (4 hr drive ) we visited two beautiful (and old) cemeteries (St Mary's and Allegheny cemetery)
For the hungry ones... In front of the adjacent cemeteries :-) (This is America)
